i absolutely adore olimar, i can't help it. I love his sturdy, chunky build.
There's an entry I remember reading somewhere. Not sure which Pikmin game, but Olimar mentions that it's very easy for him to gain weight, and very difficult for him to work it back off. Which, is a really interesting comment coming from a fella. He says he does work out, and likes to keep himself looking nice for his wife, but....
His weakness appears to be chocolate, cookies, cakes, and certain fruits. Relatable.
He's not working off any weight here, though. He's working on his throw and aim. :]
I'm sure this would make treasure hunting on a distant, alien planet a little easier.
