Splitting these up into their own post. I hope that this doesn't make things appear too messy.

As the title says, I'm picking up the pieces I've made from earlier and experimenting. (It's weird how things evolve lmao) I think the way I draw has changed a lot in the past two years. I want to see where else I can take these 'pages' I love to make. Upping the production value?

So far, I've been really enjoying incorporating some my favorite music. It's really hard to choose lyrics out of a song, because I adore the poetry of it all. You can convey so much with so little. Music is a major inspiration for my art, with a lot of my post commentary being just lyrics, cause I'm a dork. I used to record music at one point, was almost on the path to being a performer.

Back on topic, the clipped or taped in lyrics I've been adding as of late have been a jump off point, so now I'd like to see how things progress with collage. I'm thinking I'll invest in a stock photo library to work with, or get back to taking photos again myself. Everything I've used is stock, in case anyone is wondering. I think these would also be interesting to partially animate, but I'll see about how to make that work without it being too kitschy later, ahaha.

What do ya think? I really like how both turned out. It takes extra time to pull things together, but it's all certainly interesting. I'll think more about these and what else I can do with this format of sketch pages. A little dramatic, but that's what I'm all about, lmao.
