Silver Lining
Added 2020-08-25 06:34:36 +0000 UTCAt least some part of the process was saved! I realized I took a picture in the middle of recording! You can see how I start with a messy base sketch, then a refined sketch, and then I begin coloring.
This particular style is a lot like layering big ol' pieces of cut construction paper. I work from the bottom to the top, gluing each piece into one solid layer as I go along. You'll notice that Demise's loins/legs have a cool tone to them. This cool down pushes the shadow effect. Likewise, his body takes on more saturation, or warm tones as I get to the light source.
