*smiles softly* Thanks Keith. That meant a lot. You're right btw. Whilst I was stuck I was tweaking a few bits and bobs down the line and had the most amazing idea to change a planned scene for chapter Six. The whole plot is mapped out of course but there is a degree of latitude in how each plotted scene is actually represented on screen, and this tweak..... it's pretty awesome. I don't want to curse myself by saying I'm glad this happened (else I dunno how else I would have come up with this idea) but maybe, just maybe....

I am supporting you because I like what you are doing and want to help you continue in my own small way. If it helps you continue with development, I'd say keep it. Even if you weren't working furiously on renders all month. I am sure you spent a lot of time thinking about what changes you are going to make in the next chapter of the refresh, thinking about new dialog, and planning your next actions. Any patron who isn't happy with the progress is free to adjust or pause their contribution any time. You have a lot of creativity and skill to create what you have done so far, so that means you are already a good game developer. Life happens. Almost nobody is doing this as a full time job.

The problem with trying to make a large game on a tiny budget and set up is stuff like this can happen sadly so at least this demonstrates that when it does I'm not exploiting anyone. But aye, more patronage helps. I mean I dunno if you ever saw the original version but the difference some funding has made. The two versions are nothing like each other really.

The game hasn't moved on since Feb and I just feel really uncomfortable taking money when there isn't anything to show for it y'know? It's not like, say, January when although there wasn't another release I was doing plenty of work on the game that we'd all benefit from. I know I'm not very good at this sort of thing. I mean I try, but let's be honest I might be able to make a good game (and I think I do) but I'm hopeless at being a game developer in any other respect. Not enough experience or, as we've just seen, equipment for what I'm trying to do. And I don't want people who are good enough to support me in this being penalised for my errors or due to me reaching for the stars all the time.
