Weekly update no 10. Render, render...

Hi hi!

So, the render hamster is going full steam ahead for this months chapter, of which more later. But first we have some results!

Mike

My thanks to everyone who contributed to this months polls and there was a pretty clear steer that Mike should be left as originally planned - a pure fem MC romance option and so that's the way he will stay. (Yes, yes I know what Trisha says about him, but tbh she is a -bit- scary don't you think? I wouldn't blame Mike for hiding in a locker like in Alien Isolation every time she passes by...).

Bored Pilot

As to March's Bored Pilot it seems we have a double dose of the lovely Mademoiselle Ilium who not only gets her new column but also hits the centrefold. Not quite sure what the BP team will make of her however...

Chapter Three

Now as to rendering, we're looking good and I'll confess the new card is a bloody godsend (or Patron send in this case!) I'm getting the bulk of the renders out of the way first before I have to make a decision on two key scenes to judge how much rendering time I have left vs how long they'll take. One of these is a rather naughty scene that I want to do justice to, and I -really- want to be able to animate. But I also want it to look good. I think I was pushing my luck a little with the last animation (although I think I got away with it..). I'll keep you informed on this one.

The other scene is to do with a change in the accommodation. As some of you know I originally had a much nice set in mind for that but due to the limitations of my card and my insistence that a chapter comes out every month I had to swap the set out for something more basic (especially as at the time of the decision I was still thinking of having to produce the next few chapters on the original 2GB card). Thankfully dear Marcus gave us an excuse last chapter by saying the crew would be in transit accommodation for the first night. 

So, I'll see how we stand with regards to rendering all the other scenes first then, if it looks like we have sufficient time left, I'll upgrade/animate.

Speaking of images generally, I've been able to make things look an awful lot better via lighting. A non spoiler example below:

Oh! Finally, finally, something about the actual chapter itself.

Some of you may well decide to go on a rescue mission this month and it's only fair that you're aware of some of the other inhabitants of Ophion. Not saying you'll meet them - but then again not saying you won't...

(Good Lord...have you seen the size of the plant in the background for scale!)

(Considerably smaller - about six inches more or less...)

Anyhoo! Back to it for me. I might be a bit quiet this week as I, and the hamster, just crack on. I'll give an eta for it's issue next week.
