Individual frames are in the post gallery, and all the files can be downloaded in a .zip archive.
Used a photo for the background to jump-start the drawing process, but did stray a lot from the base through the course of the painting. Did a ton of variations for the clouds as well.

We usually have a very vague idea, and it mainly revolves around how bright or dark we want the scene to appear. Most of the time I tweak the colors until I feel they fit the mood. We also adjust character's colors to fit the lighting scenarios quite a lot.

2019-09-04 16:40:52 +0000 UTCOut of curiosity, when you come up with ideas for your backgrounds do you have a color scheme already in mind? Or do you work with the character's colors first and make the background colors match that?
