2024-02-03 04:24:05 +0000 UTCI think that the filmmakers didn't want to get into the logistics of it very much, but it seems the prevailing theory is that since Steve went back into the past, and then stayed there, he became integrated into the timeline. It's as if he was always part the MCU history that way. Say when we saw scenes of Peggy talking about "her husband", it wasn't some guy we never heard of before, but it actually was Steve.

It was confusing because he just "showed up" in that final scene without using the time machine, which makes it look like he was always in the same universe... Maybe we're not meant to think about this too hard lol

2024-01-30 03:21:56 +0000 UTCIt was kind of (or really) confusing the way Hulk was explaining time travel, but this is how time travel works (in the Marvel Universe anyway). You can travel to the past. And while you’re there, maybe you change nothing, or maybe you change a couple tiny things, or maybe you change hundreds of huge things. But regardless, when you return to the present, it’s going to be the same present you left, with the same history intact. All you’ve done by messing around in the past is create a new alternate reality, of which there are already an infinite number. So even though the Avengers can now travel through time, they can’t fix things by doing stuff like killing Thanos as a baby, or destroying the stones before Thanos got his hands on them. But they *can* use time travel to fix things (mostly) by acquiring the stones in the past, and bringing them to the present day to change things here and now. I wish that they had used that explanation in the movie, but it would probably be too long-winded.

But my point was we patrons are here primarily for the full reactions. We can watch the YouTube edits for free all day on YouTube. Again, please understand I mean no ill will. I just believe paying customers should get the premium content first. And if you have already watched Endgame then lay it on us because we are more than ready.

One of the rewards is early access to the YouTube edit. Some people actually like the edit! So they get enjoyment out of having it early. Usually I post the full uncut reaction the same day the edit goes live on YouTube, which is usually the day after the edit goes live on Patreon. However in this case I'm doing it a little ahead of time on Patreon. But now that I think of it, I could just as well post the full uncut reaction earlier, since there's nothing stopping me... OK, I've been convinced, I'll post the full reaction tomorrow after I post part 2 of the edit!
