2024-11-04 22:12:33 +0000 UTCI also know Spanish (not natively but I'm fluent) so I understand about 90% of it without subtitles. And it's true, the musical content of the Rusical was amazing and I'm sad non-Spanish speakers won't get to enjoy it. The joke about the Javis? I LOLed

2024-11-02 12:21:10 +0000 UTCYes. On Espana this season ANYTHING that is sung (whether its original or not) is always not subtitled. Its so bizarre as its definitely nothing to do with copyright. Makes it really hard to follow. But I still love S4.

2024-10-31 21:06:56 +0000 UTCOkay, so here’s the frustrating thing with this Rusical. The subtitles translate the spoken dialogue but not the actual sung parts. You can get the gist of it, but it’s still weird that they won’t translate it. Basically the Rusical is about an aspiring folkorico singer who is visited by popular folkloric (flamenco) performers past and present. So when they’ve referenced Lola Flores on this show, that’s the musical style the Rusical is about. It’s annoying that they didn’t care to translate it, but just a fair warning in advance (and to pay closer attention than usual).
