I'm waiting to hear about the movie. There was a movie about Saint Padre Pio in the past and they included some heresies against him. Things that simply did not happen and/or were not true. Heavily disappointing. I am hoping this new film is respectful. I don't know what to say about Shia's conversion but I hope for his sake it's for real. Saint Padre Pio is a very efficacious saint.

2022-09-16 05:25:15 +0000 UTCThere is an interview with Shia by Roman Catholic Bishop Robert Barron in which he indicates he has converted to Catholicism and he claims he is not a method actor. I have watched only a small part of the interview. He seems like an incredibly intense person and hope he gets some peace if he is serious about conversion. Kind of wonder if he has bipolar disorder or something similar. As someone in recovery I don't believe organized religion is the answer to all problems. So if Shia has other demons I sure hope he gets help relevant to whatever issues may plague him. Years ago I heard a great saying at a meeting. "An expectation is a premeditated resentment."
