The sam cooke bobby fuller episode was good but sam deserves his own full dive because his story was tied to the mob, the black power civil rights movement, the CIA and the music industry. I enjoyed the episode but I felt like there was a lot left out

2021-01-03 19:46:02 +0000 UTCI love Sam Cooke's voice and music, and had actually started to watch a documentary on him earlier this week, so this podcast really caught my interest. It definitely seems like it was a theft gone wrong situation. I agree that Alyssa was the one to suggest the motel, and much of her story was lies. I also think the desk clerk was in on things, bc it was very odd to be on phone at 3am, she gave escape/ditching spot for Alyssa, etc. They probably never had a victim pursue things before. It is curious why he had withdrawn that amount of money. Good stories, and I always enjoy the rapport and enthusiasm as you two sleuth away!
