UPDATE: Game Progress, Love & Snow – February 14, 2021

Hello and Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you!! It’s that time again to give all of you a status on the release of “Chapter Two” and to provide you with information about everything that has been going on around here, so let’s just jump right into it shall we?

First up, to all those who live WEST of Michigan, please… for God’s Sake, STOP SENDING SNOW THIS WAY!!

Please, I nearly have a foot or more of the white stuff on the ground already, with about 4 more inches that I have to remove as soon as I finish these posts… going out with the snow thrower and removing it is REALLY a PAIN IN THE BACK and, still recovering from back surgery 4 months ago, I spend at least the day that I remove it, in pain on the couch wishing for death and an end to my pain… which also means, it puts me one day (at least, depending on the amount that I have to remove) further from having the release done…

…so, if you are the praying sort, pray that any further bands of white stuff track’s further North into Canada or South in lousy Ohio… I want to get this damn chapter done and out to everyone… thankyouverymuch!

I understand that many of you are antsy about getting the next release and WANT IT NOW… trust me, I’d like to be over this virtual hump and moving on with the story! I AM making progress on the game (be making more if we can get rid of me having to remove the snow) and, BELIEVE ME, I am just as frustrated and desiring to have a release out as much as you… probably more, actually… but that is beside the point… I want it done and out to all of you as well.

A lot has had to be and is being redone… this includes a tiny bit of storyline, some of the artwork and even [hidden] stats and a boatload of Sprite work. 

In the storyline, I decided to remove and heavily alter a scene that, honestly, just made one of the characters too much into a “jerk” and would’ve caused us problems in the long run with players, Patreon and the story. 

Some of the artwork for the sex scenes that I did do, while over medicated into a near painless coma while waiting for surgery was absolutely horrendous! Character’s hands poking through bodies, clothing poke-through, crappy animation that I thought was great, but when sober, realized that it was crap and done in a way that is not only embarrassing, but was impossible to covert to the other outfits that characters could have Rao’s character in, depending on your choices and abilities to convince and manipulate her to your desires.

Stat-wise, holy crap… I made it a tangled web of various stats that makes it nearly impossible to track of all of them… honestly, I argued while over medicated to have them in there, but now that I am not so heavily doped up, I realize now… some of the character stats could easily be condensed into being one stat, rather than four or five stats… 

Currently, the stats have been altered and reduced through this chapter and for future chapters (and Main Game) to be: Good/Wicked/Neutral (for choices), Love/Hate (for relationships) and Corruption (for varying degrees of sex scenes, perversion and clothing styles) and that is it.

We don’t need any of the other ones that I tried to add in, that only increases workload, difficulty in production and dead ends which our game really doesn’t need.

It is also clear, that in the coming months, we are going to need to find ourselves a Sprite Artist (someone that will be in character of picking and placing the characters sprites in the dialogue section of the game) … so, we’ll be putting out a call for someone to do that after the next couple of releases.  

This week will be spent, focusing on doing all of the artwork for the six different sex scenes that will be available to players in “Chapter Two”, depending on the choices that you make during its gameplay… you will NOT be able to see all of them if you only play once… the version that you’ll see will depend on how much you gained Rao’s trust, whether you convinced or manipulated her into do what you want… or if you play a good or bad guy while making decisions for the character of “Larsen”… as stated, there are 6 different scenes, 7 or 8 actually if you screw up your choices and miss the good stuff and 3 to 4 possible endings to the chapter…

…also, depending on your choices in the main gameplay will depend on what the Chapter’s end credit scene will be… and, believe me, you are going to want to wait to see that scene and read it… there are some BIG reveals in it!

Hopefully, by this time next week, I will have a little better estimate on a release date for all of you… but before I can, I have 6 sex scenes to render out based on your choices before I can give a real estimate.

And, again, this will be the LAST time that I do these many possible outcomes in one release without much more help than we currently have… this is a LOT of work!

That said, it is time for me to do a special “Sneak Peek” post for our Paying Patrons talking about the game’s mechanics of “Corruption” and other stats (sorry, have to put it behind the paywall because there is quite a bit of brief nudity in it) and then complete a few hours of work, before switching gears to spend the afternoon/evening with the wife to celebrate Valentine’s Day together… so, Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you and we hope that you have a good week and, as always, thank you for your continued support and love!!
