I'm in tears right now. Abuse can cloud your thinking so much. Enty, this episode just changed my life. I was abused by members of my family, both physically and psychologically, since my earliest years. I've recently become estranged from them due to them not believing that my brother attacked me and fractured my skull. My PTSD is through the roof, and I've been too afraid of them to speak about it to others. I never once stopped to think about the fact that in this particular situation, there's no possible way that I could have escaped punishment if the police report I filed had been false. It seems like such a simple thing, but that single statement showing support for victims was enough for me to find my courage and take back the power that they took from me. Thank you. <3
