Koe No Katachi - Movie Reaction

As you can see, IT WAS PAINFUL.
There is so much I want to say about it, but I was really emotionally drained by the end of it. First of all, the voice acting, especially Shoko's, was amazing. Combined with the bgm, it ensured that I'd feel whatever emotion they wanted me to feel.
Secondly, I'm glad to have watched a movie that showed us the spontaneity, uncertainty, pain, and helplessness felt by people who are suicidal. Just when you think everything is alright, things creep up on you. I'm even more glad that they showed us how the lives of people who love you are affected by the idea of losing you.
Finally, all the supporting characters were so real, so three dimensional that it made you hate a lot of them. These are not characters just thought up for the sake of the movie. These are characters that reflect the reality of humans around us. People who are straight up bullies. People who reflect on their behavior. People who push off the blame. People who accept their behavior, but don't reflect. People who have never seen themselves as bullies, but victims instead. Victims who forgive. These are all people around us. It was beautiful and painful to see them on screen.
Again, I feel like there is so much I want to say, but it's difficult to find the right words. I hope you enjoyed watching/re-watching the movie with me. Much love.
