There were no more loose ends in the case.
Every thread has been tied down with precision and the evidence was airtight, the chain of custody flawless, and the witnesses prepared.
What had started as a simple DUI case involving a celebrity trainer had now shaken the foundations of New York’s high society.
When news of the expedited trial hit the media, it spread like wildfire.
The names alone — Victor Marino, Adrian Kane, Dr. Leonard Strauss, and Marcus Hale — were enough to make the country stop and watch.
Overnight, Liam Harper became a household name.
On television, reporters crowded courthouse steps, flashing cameras as debates exploded.
Some praised Liam, calling him the new face of justice — a man who had dared to take on the rich and powerful.
Others called him reckless — an ambitious rookie trying to build a name off his first major case.
But the truth would be known soon enough.
Today’s hearing would reveal everything.
Courtroom – Manhattan Criminal Courthouse
The gallery was packed with rows of people and journalists, flashes from cameras, whispers filling the air.
In the front sat Harvey Specter, Cameron Dennis, Beth Potts, Detective Cross, and Officer Ruiz.
Behind them were the athletes and victims, each carrying the weight of what they’d suffered.
Even Emma Frost was present, seated quietly with folded arms and a small, proud smile — watching her friend stand at the center of it all.
At the defense table sat Stone’s from Bratton Gould, but gone was his trademark smirk.
His usually calm confidence had been replaced by visible strain; sweat glistened at his temple.
Beside him, lined under police guard, were Marcus Hale, Victor Marino, Carlos Vega, Francesco Dorian, Adrian Kane, and Dr. Leonard Strauss — the entire operation that had poisoned athletes and animals for money.
The courtroom hushed as the clerk called,
“All rise. Court is now in session, the Honorable Judge Harrington presiding.”
Everyone stood.
The Judge entered, his expression stern but steady, and motioned for them to be seated.
He glanced at Liam, then at the defense, before giving the floor to the prosecution.
“Mr. Harper,” he said. “You may proceed.”
Liam stood. His calm, poised demeanor commanded the room.
He opened the first folder on the table, adjusted his tie slightly, and began.
“Your Honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury,” he said, voice firm and even, “today we stand here not for a single crime, but for a chain of crimes that spans from the underground drug rings of New York to the very boardrooms of our city’s elite.”
He moved methodically, one piece of evidence at a time.
Every word was precise, every fact laid bare.
As Liam presented the exhibits, the story unfolded — how Hale, deep in debt to Victor Marino, joined hands with Francesco Dorian and Carlos Vega, who connected him to Adrian Kane and Dr. Strauss. Together, they distributed a “performance-enhancing” lactose powder — a product that enhanced athletic performance briefly before tearing down the user’s body from the inside out.
Whispers filled the gallery as the truth hit.
The jury’s expressions shifted from confusion to horror.
Stone barely raised an objection. His defense had nothing — Liam’s preparation left no gaps.
Next, Liam called Rizzo to the stand. The man looked uneasy.
The courtroom watched as Liam questioned him relentlessly, peeling away his excuses until Rizzo broke down with the slight push from his Sharingan — confessing to killing Travis Keane, the coach who tried to expose the scheme.
The spectators gasped. Cameras clicked like thunder.
Then came Marcus Hale, already hollowed out from guilt. Liam questioned him steadily, and Hale admitted distributing cocaine to celebrities and lactose powder to athletes.
Even though they were trapped, they needed Liam had to use his sharingan to bring out the truth
Every confession hit the courtroom like a hammer.
By the end, there was no doubt.
When the verdict was read, silence filled the hall.
“Guilty.”
Each name — Hale, Marino, Dorian, Vega, Kane, Strauss — rang through the room like the toll of a bell.
Their combined network of 214 underlings also faced imprisonment.
The court ordered immediate investigation and prosecution of the celebrities involved and mandated compensation for every victim affected.
Judge Harrington, breaking from his usual composure, looked at Liam and said,
“Mr. Harper, the court commends your dedication and integrity. This city needs more prosecutors like you.”
The gavel came down — case closed.
As the courtroom broke into murmurs and flashing lights, Liam turned toward the gallery.
Emma stood, her proud smile radiant. She walked up to him as reporters scrambled for a view.
“Not bad for your first case, Prosecutor" she teased lightly.
Liam chuckled. “Guess I set the bar a little too high, huh?”
“Maybe,” she smirked, “but that’s your problem, not mine. Dinner’s on you tonight, hero.”
He shook his head, smiling. “Fine. But you’re picking the place.”
She nodded and said. “See you later, prosecutor.”
And with that, she disappeared into the crowd.
Then came Cameron Dennis and Harvey Specter, both walking through the press toward Liam.
Cameron’s usual smirk was back. “Well, kid… you just made half the city’s elite panic and the other half call for your promotion.”
Harvey crossed his arms with a rare grin. “I’ll admit it — I didn’t think you’d pull off something this big out of nothing. But you did. Clean. Efficient and with enough style to make the headlines love you.”
Liam smirked. “Guess, I took inspiration from the best.”
Harvey shot a sideways glance at Cameron. “He means me, obviously.”
Cameron scoffed. “You wish.” Then turning back to Liam, he said, “Dinner’s on me tonight.”
Liam shook his head. “Appreciate it, but I already have plans. Tomorrow night?”
Cameron nodded approvingly. “Deal. Enjoy your spotlight, Harper. You deserve it.”
Outside the courthouse, the press swarmed.
Cross and Ruiz were already surrounded by microphones.
A reporter called out, “Detective Cross! Officer Ruiz! Who’s the real hero behind this case?”
Cross gave a tight grin. “No question — it’s Harper. I’ve worked on plenty of big cases, but this one was the first between us. He led every step by himself. The guy’s relentless and we just supported him in the end”
Ruiz nodded. “Yeah, he’s the one who tied it all together. We just helped him kick the door down.”
When Liam stepped out, the crowd turned toward him instantly — flashes bursting like fireworks.
“Mr. Harper! How does it feel to bring down a few of New York’s most powerful names?”
Liam smiled lightly, calm and composed. “It feels like justice did its job. This wasn’t about power — it was about the truth finally catching up.”
Another reporter shouted, “Detective Cross and Officer Ruiz said you were the brains behind the case!”
Liam glanced toward them and smiled. “They’re being generous. This was a team effort. I couldn’t have done any of it without their work — and the support of my office, especially Cameron Dennis. Every case like this takes a village.”
Questions kept coming, flashes kept firing — but Liam answered each one patiently, never breaking composure.
His voice steady, his tone confident — the perfect image of a young, unshakable prosecutor.
As the final question ended, Liam nodded, said his thanks, and walked through the crowd toward his motorcycle.
He slid on his helmet, paused for a moment as the city buzzed with his name in the air —
then started the engine and rode off, the sound of the bike echoing down the courthouse steps.
The camera lights faded behind him, and Liam Harper — the rookie prosecutor who had just taken down a few of New York’s most corrupt elite — vanished into the evening streets.
