"Do you mind if I stop here for a bit, Ms. Aligiri?" Kaliska asked, wandering toward edge of the land leading to the lake. "I want to feel the energies of this place."
"Hm? Oh, no. I don't mind," Nika replied, looking over to her escort and nodding. "I'm literally supposed to be giving you a tour. Sightseeing is what we're here for." The lynx tapped on her left wrist and manifested a holographic image of an overhead view of the place that they were at, with Nika moving her arm toward Kaliska and moving the hologram with it. With her free hand, she pointed at a spot and then tracked her finger along the image as she spoke. "We're right here. This is Lake Reflection we're standing right next to, and just a few miles down this trail and we'll be at Castletown."
Kaliska noted the shape of a medieval style castle in Nika's hologram. "I see why it is called that based on this image you're showing me."
Nika chuckled as Kaliska's gaze drifted to the lake, allowing her mag-amp suit to drop the holographic projection. "The council prefers more functional naming conventions. My world is way more about literary symbolism. It's just the aesthetics, you know?"
"Mm..." Kaliska wandered closer to the water's edge, closing her eyes as the wind blew through her fur. Unlike Nika, Kaliska was totally naked and thus able to feel the full effect of the region's temperate climate. To her however, it was more than just the wind in her hair, the grass under her hooves, or the subtle sound of the stirring of the water in the lake. A tingling sensation, a vibration, something that stirred her soul on a deeper level. There was magic everywhere around her, even in the flora and fauna, the earth beneath her, she could even feel it in the wind. It was almost euphoric to her senses.
Nika was watching the spiritwalker closely as she meditated only to realize that her escort was beginning to swell. "Ah...!" the guardian muttered, her eyes widening. Kaliska's relatively lithe figure began to fill out, her rear, her thighs, and her breasts ballooned in size. Nothing like her belly though, which was growing so rapidly that it looked like that she had progressed through to the ninth month of pregnancy in just a few seconds.
Kaliska smiled and slowly turned to look at Nika over her shoulder as she finished. "This world is wonderful. I would be so pleased to call this world my home. In so doing though, I must show gratitude and give back to the people who have given this home to me." She rubbed her belly. "What better way to do that than to give someone else the chance to see this world as well."
Nika was still starring, managing to tear her gaze away from the spiritwalker's butt and looking into her eyes. "You can spirit mend without a goddess seal," she said plainly.
Kaliska nodded. "It is a practice that my tribe has practiced for centuries. It was I who shared the knowledge of it to your council. Just one of the many ways that I want to aid in the conflict we find ourselves in." She had a determined look. "ズメの 乃レムᄃズWム√乇 刀ムᄃᄃ キひ0 √乇ん 刀メひズ ズメの0'レの イ乇りの."
Nika smiled. "I think I only understood one part of that... but what I can say is that I'm very glad that you're on our side, Kali."
Kaliska blinked, tilting her head at what Nika had called her. "Pardon?"
"It's like a nickname," Nika quickly clarified, realizing that she might not have gotten what she had done. "See, the first part of your name looks like a common name in our tongue, Kali. Even sounds pretty similar to if you were saying your full name."
The spiritwalker fully turned to face Nika, showing the lynx just how full and round her belly had become. Her navel had even popped out, completing the motherly look. "Hm... are nicknames like this common among your people?"
Nika laughed. "Yes. It usually means that you like someone or see them as a friend when you use a nickname."
"Is that so?" Kaliska replied, her eyes filling with clarity. "Kali..."
