When she and her fiancé Aster were brought to Unity, Nika wasted no time joining the Guardian Corps in order to lend her skills to the battle against the Blackwave. Just like all other third-generation guardians, Nika was fitted for a mag-amp suit, standard issue for the Vanguard. While initially she doubted the protective qualities of the skintight suit, she instantly changed her tune when she felt her combat effectiveness raise drastically.
