Special Patron Commission June 2023 (Poll Result)

I meant the sculpting of chromie or ogre for this month's commission, instead of the gunship. Sorry for the confusion. In any case, I think Ivo (and the people who answered the poll) already decided to make it entirely as a KS. A little bummed about the turn of events but it's still better than a rushed gunship.

Hi David, don't get me wrong I want to do a Gunship, among the options this is the one I wanted the most, however, after sketching what I would do to organize things, I realized that it's possible to do more than just the exterior of the ship and it's even possible to do more pieces that would fit with it and look awesome. It will be possible to have a gunship and make it bigger or small but I can't cover all possibilities and things that came to my mind in the Patron Commission. Also, I probably won't be able to do a manual. A Kickstarter would be the way to go for an even bigger project that would take me 6-7 months without affecting Patreon production. I will do a Poll about this.

I wish you told us that you didnt want this to win in the first place. I suggested the gunship thinking that this was the only opportunity for you to do something of this scale since you gave us the option of choosing a large/huge figure, unlike in a regular commission month. I also thought it was fitting for you to make something huge since it's your second anniversary. But I didn't know that you wanted to do the gunship in your upcoming kickstarter. I agree with Mallaury. If you're half-hearted about this, maybe you should just sculpt the ogre or chromie, and save the gunship for your kickstarter. I personally prefer having either of those two than a rushed gunship.

Well what I mean is that you have to make sure that the one we get is also complete in himself, that's the issue. And I did not mean for you to scrap it, just to delay it and take another winner you can reliably do for this month. So I suppose it would be the Ogre or Chromie since I think they tied? Or maybe you should make a post to ask about how we want you to do it, I just fear that you might put too much work and not have time for the main release, or not have enough time for the ship and rush it. It really sounds like a huge ton of work.

For the scope, I think I can make it with a bit more time but the problem is that I want to make more stuff for it to make it into a bigger project. Yes, racial decorations would be a stretched goal(I've been thinking of Goat Horns to make a Dwarven Ramming Airship or some fancy night elf decals), Some extra parts like sails, Air Baloon, A Harpoon to hunt whales (Or sea monsters, in case you make it a ship, or Dragons for Air), more back types and other types of buildings, Interior Layout, perhaps even building a Tutorial on how to assemble the ships. Anyways it could be a way bigger project. I can't go back now, the winner is the winner, and it would not be right for the people that voted.

Aouch! maybe plan other race variants for kickstarter maybe? with parts that work for every in common, like the doors, planks, weapons etc. Or maybe give yourself time to do that one so it is not rushed and pick another winner instead for this month? could work
