Hello everyone!
Update March 23rd
Printed successfully the Torso and Tail, and I was able to assemble most of the miniature.
I missed the Blade and had a Failure on the Base. Going to print both of them today. Tomorrow I will do a bit of filling, and sanding. I will also prime it to hide the seams.
I know this is crazy but just realized that I printed this guy using a 0.02mm layer lol.
Update March 22nd
Finished the second part of the lower body. I shared 2 new pictures that focus on the seams.
The seam is nearly invisible.
I still have the Torso, the Tail, and the other part of the base.
--- End of Update---
I was planning on adding this information to the Malga'roth Split post but I was not able to find it, so I created a new one.
Since Saturday I'm supporting this guy, and I finally finished with the supporting (19 hours), right now I'm in a printing queue because everything does not fit in the build plate. Of course, not everything goes the way I plan, so I had some printing failures, requiring me to print again with stronger support.
So far I have failed on half of the base, the Right Hand, and the tail.
This guy is huge and heavy so I think that in the end, I will use a bottle of resin, because of the failures.
If I still had an FDM printer I would probably print the base on it.
I probably won't be doing something so big again if I'm working solo or my income is greater than my expenses. It's getting awesome and all but, it's an expensive model and time-consuming (which can also be converted into money). I think that the probability of selling or you guys printing this big guy would be low, making me wonder if it's more interesting for me to make smaller miniatures.
Regardless of what I think about prices or printable the model is, he is definitely a super huge monster boss to finish any RPG campaign with style.
Best regards,
Ivo
