The Dark Council - X'Avon, The Wingless (WIP)

Hello everyone!

Update September 13th

I Finished posing, and for him, I chose a Low stance with a wide stance, this was to give an idea of a side dash. All the cloths will be going in the opposing direction to give the idea of motion. 

Now I will fix mesh parts damaged by moving, and pose the hands, and face (I will add a grinning teeth expression).

I will also sculpt all the clothes his wearing and cape. I will also try to make some bats, and try a few things to see if I can make them part of the cape like clumping and turning into his cape, but my priority for today is to finish him without the cape. 

I painted the blade on the sword and dagger black because I think they look cool as dark blades.

Update September 12th

I had great progress yesterday, I could add so many details to the miniature and so far I think this is the best Dreadlord. The golden collar used by N'Zull was an accident but in the end, I think it looked cooler, so I left it there. Today I will sculpt Bracers, weapons, horns, and his face. Possibly will also pose the model.

On the right side, there are 2 quick shape blocks for the cape, the top most will be Bat wings (like Batman's cape), and on the bottom a really long cape with many folds (like Spawn's cape). What do you think it's the best?

Update September 11th

Instead of blocking out the shapes of the whole character this time I decided to focus on the main shape that would be the Chest piece, I wanted to give it as much detail as I can.

I was having a bit of a problem deciding the best way to tackle the chest piece. It's not done yet but progress is visible.  Instead of making a big shape and adding some edges to create the impression of volume, I decided to treat each part separately, so the chest armor is composed of lots of layers, it's a lot more effort, but I'm liking the direction it's going.

I reused the calf armor and the belt (I will probably modify it), I wanted to still stay in a way that they all look like part of the same group, therefore matching armor pieces should be a thing.

I had a failure while printing Tok'zreth, I fixed the supports and she is printing again, while printing I started to collect images to help X'Avon sculpt. Let's discuss these ideas before I start working on the model.

The Idea, X'Avon has no Wings but this did not keep him from working hard and being the deadliest assassin of the 7, and he knows (He is so full of pride in his achievements, this might be his downfall). X'Avon is one with the shadows.

When I started collecting info, I was heavily inspired by the First image on the top Left (white background). After a while I found that second image and I wanted to cover his body with armor, A full plate set would not look cool for an assassin but, In the realm of fantasy, he could also be a Dark Knight.

Cape/Wing: While not having wings I remembered our fellow dark knight (Batman), where he spreads his cape, and they look like wings. Perhaps having no wings would force him to infuse magic in his cape allowing him to fly, and giving it a Wing shape. I also wanted to try a Wild stylized cape like Spawn.

Weapon: For an assassin, the first thing that came to my mind was a Dagger... but I will also make a longer version as a Sword. The blade will have a curved design. I will also include a claw option.]

Pose ideas: At first, I wanted to make a pose like that dual-wielding vampire (I think it's GW's) but then I wanted to give an idea that he and the shadows would become one, and then I found that image where bats surround that dark warrior. So right now, the idea is to make lots of bats forming his cape as if he was dashing in the shadows/or flying as a swarm of bats and reforming ready to assassinate.
