Loyalty Reward 06 Months - Aorus Windrider & Chimera (WIP)

Update August 27

I have finished the body sculpting and added the scales. I also did the details on the head. 

The next step is to add a few small feathers to the head. I will sculpt the Wings and add the remaining feathers after posing.

This is the last WIP on this post, and probably the last time I work on this miniature this month.

Starting Monday I will make the month renders and start sculpting the Dark Ranger.

I was in doubt about whether to share or not the progress on this miniature but, decided to do it. I probably won't keep updating this post as I usually do.

Context:

When the chances of winning were close to none, and the battle at the Glades would end in defeat. Aorus Windrider and his chimera arrived at the battlefield turning the course of the war.

Describing the image:

The colored one is my current WIP, I have blocked out most of the shapes and added some muscles, I will start adding the scales. The Blueish parts will be later replaced by feathers, but for now, they are blocking out the volume.

The Gray color is my pose sketch (I don't know much 2d, so I blocked with what I had).

They are on a 75mm round base, the base will be composed of grass, rocks, and cut-down trees, I will probably throw some night Elf weapons. This is to reinforce that there is a battle and that the Glades are losing.

The Quimera stops at the stone, one head is releasing a Breath attack (Corrosive breath)

Aorus Stands on top of the Quimera holding the reins (Ropes or Leather) and getting ready to release a Storm spear (something like a Zeus lightning bolt or Spear of Gransax from Elden Ring)

Variations and bits:

• When talking about variations, the first thing that came to my mind is a Wild Chimera.
• A budget smaller base will also be an option.
• For Aorus a Crossbow for the right arm, instead of the Thunderbolt. Helmet and Helmetless options.

Availability:

This miniature will only be available as a Loyalty reward 06 months and won't be possible to achieve any other way. I don't think that I will be able to finish this month but I will try my best for the next.
