Hello everyone,
Update August 07th
Added details to the wings and posed Gelvain and Boraz. From my initial plan I had to change a few things, due to the height difference it would not look good. I am still working on Gelvain posing. This hand option will be a separate miniature, meaning you can print Gelvain under Hypnosis solo.
Today I will work on the skirt and when done I will move to finish Gelvain.
Update August 06th
Changed the pose on the Wings, to a more closed, trying to achieve a more relaxed pose for them. I sculpted the Bracers and added the cut for the modular hand above the third leather strap. I have detailed the face and posed the miniature, yes his eyes are closed (because of the spell he is casting, after posing it probably will make sense).
Today I will be working on the wings and posing the miniature before adding details to the clothes.
--- End of Update ---
Yesterday I started blocking out the shapes for Boraz, he will be the second Dreadlord. Since he represents Sloth, I decided to make him a thinner Dreadlord and less muscular. He does not like to wear armor (They are heavy) and doesn't like to make the work, he often use minions to do his bidding.
Thinking about the idea from above I begin wanting to make a bat swarm for him or even carrying him but, this spell is not suited for him (The Dream Eater, means something right?), so I decided to make his favorite spell Hypnosis, and while doing so he can brainwash his victims. This will be a tricky one, sadly I have Gelvain to help me in this job.
About the miniature:
I decided to reuse, N'zull Belt and Neck armor pieces. I will remove the bracelet and the wing armor, to make him lighter. To pose the wings I wanted to make them full bent backwards open to it's full potential but, I was fearing that it might be to big and off the base, I think I will go as something more contained.
The Skirt will be composed of many rags with a long tail. Having some chains and a Lantern, probably some skulls on the other side. That Neck clock does not feel right to me but might make sense, to give him a Mage/Dark priest vibe.
For the Arms, I will replace the gloves for a leather with many leather belts around it. He will have a Gelvain Interaction hand. As option I will put a Staff for the right hand and a spell with some bats on the Left.
If you have any suggestions, feel free to leave them in the comments below. As usual I will keep this post updated as I move along in the sculpting process.
The Swarm of bats is not discarded, I just moved for another miniature (Pride)
Best regards,
Ivo
