Hello everyone!

I completely forgot to anounce the winner of the January Patron Commission Poll, I was pretty sure about the winner but I was wrong, there has been an amazing comeback.

With 35 votes the winner is... Grommash Hellscream

while the second place got 30 votes.

No more info was provided on the request.

Totally fair point, I had no considered that perspective. I think the growth of the community also took me by surprise since its almost 100 votes more than the last poll which is great!

Classic WC2&3 Heroes FTW! Lok’thar Ogar! 🪓

I chose Grom as I am more interested in the lore than say, 'season 12 death knight pvp gear' which I don't even know what it looks like. there is some niche stuff that i would love as well, but I think the bigger names would appeal to more people. I actually thought there would be more characters in the poll, and if there was I was considering going with Johnny Awesome.

My mistake, I read it wrong. Grom is even better.

I was the one who added Grommash to the poll, I haven't played wow since a little after pandaria but i'm a big fan of the books. (particularly the story of the orcs opening the portal that lead to the events of the burning cursade). Grommash Hellscream is the full name of Grom, father of Garrosh, leader of the Warsong clan, so I hope people didn't vote thinking it was Garrosh. But I would be cool with either. apparently I need to go watch some cutscenes I haven't seen!

I've been wondering about this. Personally I'm a big contender for more known characters like Muradin, Grommash, Cenarius. I think it would help Imagine Minis greatly in growing when adding more and more of such characters to it's library. And I think in the long run, it's what will pull in the most people. It's why I'll always vote for the bigger characters, even though I would sometimes prefer something niche personally. I'm wondering what the more unique characters would be and why it'd be better if they won the poll.

That's pretty surprising the top 3 were trailing by a considerable amount to the original top 2 by over 10 like a week ago. Guess surges happen, little salty that even muradin blew out some of the more unique choices but it is what it is.

I just read up on him on Wowpedia for what I’ve missed. Apparently Christie Golden said were it not for going back in time he’d have repented and done better. In-game the Bronze Dragons say that’s the most villainous version of him in the multiverse, everything at every point went wrong for him. In most universes he’s either the best Warchief ever or dies before he can do much damage. Given the Heroes Of The Storm alternate universe skins that’s all the more interesting since he went full-villain in more than a few. I guess in one universe Bain literally rips him in half with his bare hands to avenge Cairne. So I guess that settles who’d win in a fight.

Just saw the video, it was cool. He is truly a badass character, hope I can do him justice.

So in the afterlife everything has gone wonky. The Dreadlords originated from the demons who were supposed to torture the guilty, who pissed off long ago to torture everyone. Shadowlands is very meta, with the universe being created by math and story by unknowable beings. Anima AKA experience points is what keeps the afterlife stable, but since the destabilization all souls go to Revendreth and the Maw AKA hell (other than Trolls because aside from Zul’jun the Loa Bwonsamdi has never lost a soul, and we find Zul’jin just doing his own thing and being mad at us). Garrosh was tortured because he was so full of anima, but he didn’t feel much physical or emotional pain so he was like a treasure chest the torturers couldn’t crack. In a boss fight with the head torturer Garrosh breaks free, screams how much he hates everyone and would do everything again, then grabs the main torturing tool and suicide bombs his Anima which destroys his soul forever. Players survive, nothing else there does. Apparently Arthas was similarly hard to break. But he endured and is returning while Garrosh took the easy way out. Its kind of implied all the big name characters we didn’t see like Blackhand and Llane are all being similarly tormented deep in the Maw.

lol, wait what? did he die? hahaha I must stop everything and watch.

Woah, I was not expecting that. I guess people liked his Shadowlands suicide?
