Patron Commission December: Elven Queen

Hello everyone!

Update January 8th

I have created a monster! Hahaha this is by far my most daring project lol.

The build plate is completely full with a single miniature, 6cm Base, the character is taller than 75mm because she is in the 75mm scale (for a Human), I guess I should scale her a bit down to leave her a 75mm size instead 75mm scale... too late for regrets.

I am scared to hit the play button on the printer lol, but I must face it.

Update January 7th

What NPC's do when you are not near... lol

To be honest, I loved the pose. I have posed her in a relaxing pose looking over the horizon in her Tower's balcony.

I am currently working on her hair and will do her cape next.

The thing is, thanks to that wall she is not a practical miniature for tabletop and since I loved the character and pose, I have decided to put a bit more work into this miniature and make her my first 75mm (inside the Patreon) but, to keep the request, I will also add a 32mm scale version. I am still thinking about where I should do the splits.

Since I have the model unposed and the pose suggested was a simple one, I will make a simple pose for her as a 32mm scale Tabletop model.

Both models will be available this month, after the Tabletop will be a 3 Month Loyalty, and the 75mm will be a 6 Month Loyalty.

This add of scope will take a toll on my monthly production but it will be worth it.

Update January 6th

I have added more detail to some parts, now I will finish the cape and do a check to see if I will add more detail to some other parts. After that, I will be sculpting the Base and posing.

The Patron requested a Non-combat relaxing pose. where she was sitting idly in a branch. I can't imagine sculpting a floating branch for a miniature, making a tree for her to sit would be hard to manage as a 32mm board game miniature. I will replace the tree with a balcony where she sits, watching the horizon and gently managing her hair against the wind.

This pose would definitely look cool in a 75mm scale to paint, but slicing the model and hollowing the pieces would take time.

Update January 5th

Adjusted the height so she is now almost if not equal to Ysera height. Blocked a few pieces of armor.

Today I will block the remaining armor pieces and start adding detail to some pieces.

--- End of Update ---

I have finished the character Blockout (At least the body). Initially, I thought that she was the same size as a High Elf (32mm - 1,8 Meters tall) so I placed her side by side with the last model, as you can see in the picture the size difference is huge since the other model was based on the Night Elf standard high (2,20 meters tall I believe).

I could not find any reference to how tall she is in humanoid form, if you know, please leave it in the comments so that I can adjust her size.

In the older models, there was simply a recolor from both but I decided to make a fresh start and combine some pieces of art from cosplayers and detailed artwork supplied by the Patron.

The pose request is a sort of Idle/resting pose, but this might still change.

I will keep updating this post as I move along with the sculpt.

Best regards,

Ivo

Thankfully she's quite a simple one to split due to her clothing, there won't be any super obvious joins if the split are where skin meets clothing.

For me personally a sitting pose is more difficult to implement in a game, I'd be super happy to just have real basic standing pose, hands on hips or like https://images.app.goo.gl/vP5pQqwbyw3VGWqw8

I don't know yet, I will finish the request first then I will see what I can do. My personal preference would be having her in a standing pose as 32mm and a sitting pose as 75mm for painting. But just in case leave your pose suggestion

Will there be a pose option of just her standing at all?

Fraser

I'd say make her the same height as Ysera yeah

I have seen that image and that's when I had my doubts because of this https://br.pinterest.com/pin/483011128781718206/ In this image where she is side by side, and on that image, Ysera is a bit behind, so my guess is since they are basically the same model with a recolor, I can only suppose they are on the same size, and probably Ysera is bigger than she should be.

I can't find the picture I am imagining, of her with chromie and krasus? On top of wyrmrest temple, but if I remember correctly she is actually larger in humanoid form than Ysera, and even larger than the average elf man. https://images.app.goo.gl/Hag17yUaZBxFHgwx8

"BUT, maybe if you go completely over board, she could even be shorter. Have a beard, pointy helm, wielding axe and hammer... you know, if you feel like it." Hahahah I know a lot of people that would love to see her as a Dwarf Girl (except the beard part)

Yeah, I was comparing Her to the Night Elf, The previous model had the size of a Night Elf but this one is a lot similar to the High Elf. I did not stay with the regular body because I was going for something between Blood Elf and Hots model, not skinny and not chubby. Sry but I did not understand the term "ears to boot". Her Eyebrows are kind of tricky for a 32mm scale that is something so Tiny that if I make it too long it will snap, if I make it too large it will look ugly, so I have shrunk down a bit and made it a bit larger.

Also, I need to read more carefully. You clearly stated it you were talking about the difference between a High Elf and a Night elf. My bad.

Kristian

I think her humanoid form is an elf (Am not sure so feel free to correct me). But in all her renditions her eyebrows are similar to those of a typical Warcraft elf, and there's plenty of art where she has the ears to boot. Also, her appearance in WoW seems more based on a High Elf rather then a Human. Also, in personal preference, would rather see the two Aspects at the same size. BUT, maybe if you go completely over board, she could even be shorter. Have a beard, pointy helm, wielding axe and hammer... you know, if you feel like it.
