MyMiniFactory Store (Soon available)

Hello everyone!

Before I get to the topic a quick reminder, today is the last day to submit your request (at any time tomorrow I will start preparing for the poll), actually is tomorrow but due to time differences better safe than sorry.

Here is the direct link:

Special Patron Commission: Request (Christmas) | Imagine Minis on Patreon

Now to the topic!

I have decided to open a MyMiniFactory store.

Why haven't I opened it before? MMF charges designers 25dollars per month plus commissions. Since I did not have many miniatures to sell, I was afraid of ending up working for MMF and having no profit. Now that I have a good amount of miniatures I think it's safe to open a store. Since MMF has one of the largest user bases I could compare it to pay for google ads, as a publicity cost.

When will it be open? Next year. Because in order to save the 25dolars I have to manually load the products and this takes time, so I will be uploading a few miniatures in private then when I am ready I will be paying to open the store. This is also a way to not get in the way of the monthly releases.

Will the prices be the same? No, since MMF charges me 25 dollars I will have to pass this on to the miniatures that I will be selling there.

What will happen to Minihoarder? Since Minihoarder is relatively small and has a good charge for starting artists I want to support them. I will be keeping my lowest price miniatures there. I don't want to trick anyone, but I treat every Online store differently the same way they treat me.

What will it change for Patreon users? Honestly, I have no idea. In MMF only tells me that I will unlock a special panel once I pay, I don't know how special that is... If I can improve the life of you guys, be sure, I will.

I have bought a LightBox, so I will retake some pictures of older miniatures and will redo some old renders, the new ones are way cooler than before.

That's it for today, if you have any questions, please, feel free to ask.

Best regards,

Ivo

LOL, good point!

Shouldn’t be too hard, there are Patreons with 5k+ I’ll be shocked if they had to transfer one at a time 😱

Since the Premium store will be open, I have to upload miniatures there anyway and it's easy, I don't see why not. But honestly might mess up and be confusing for a lot of people that already have my miniatures on Minihoarder.

Brandon I don't know. I don't have a subscription to another designer nor have I spoken to one about this. The only thing I know is what MMF told me I will unlock a "special menu", I simply don't know how special that is. Once I open the store there I will know what can I do. If I have to add one Patron per time to give a new miniature I won't do it because it will be too time-consuming, I prefer to invest this time sculpting. Today on Minihoarder I choose a miniature click on a button and it pulls the list of Patrons, then I click on give, if it's convenient like this I will do it.

Any chance you will be able to add the Patreon files into our MMF libraries like some other Patreons do? It is really convenient.

Definitely agree with the guys above, plus we've spoken about this before Ivo - MMF is definitely a good move and hopefully the increase in exposure/sales will offset the cost per month. Imagine Minis 100 patrons here we go!

I think expanding to MMF will be great! There's a lot of exposure there and MMF itself seems to do a nice job of promoting new artists.

Yeah, I was going to be around that value, adding 1 dollar to Minihoarder prices.

I think this will definitely help get you the exposure you deserve. A common practice is to sell them at a higher price and give patrons a discount code to get them at a better price. I definitely think you can get higher prices for your files as well. Most minis on MMF run 3-6 USD.
