Change of direction

At first i did not wan't to accept this, but i knew deep down that this day would eventually come.

I have begun modeling using blender in 2013, trying to make games in unity with a friend, he gave up and so did i, in 2015 we tried again he did gave up again. In 2017 i begun to try to make games again but this time solo using unreal4 and blender, it was hard to see any progress so i forgot to make virtual games, and decided to learn to sculpt and do boardgames, it was then that i bought my FDM printer, to make better prototypes, but again it was way more then i could bite, so i put the game development on hold. So i learned my lesson.

I still want to make games, that won't change. Games are awesome but i love miniatures more, and games is an excuse to use them.

So i kept sculpting, making gifts for friends. Last year i made a few 32mm for a friend as a birthday present, i modeled Sci-fi minis for our Starfinder campaing. Then i decided to open a Patreon were i could model Sci-fi and Fantasy. Today i was pointed out that those miniatures are for 2 different types of public, and someone that likes both or even subscribes to a Patreon that do both are rare. He does have a point.

With the time that i have to sculpt i am able to sculpt 3-4 miniatures every month, this happens because i don't like to change pose and add or remove a piece of armor and call it another miniature, so yeah my productivity is low. That being said, if i do all Fantasy there won't be a Sci-fi, and if goes like 50% each i probably won't have more help from others or the speed at which i win support will be lower.

I love sci-fi as much as i love fantasy but, for now my goal is to increase the number of patreons while keep improving my sculpting skills. So in order to keep moving forward, i will model only Fantasy focused on warcraft, preferably rare models that are hard to find on the internet or in other patreons, of course other fantasy would be okay. There will be poll on what i will work next, next month i will do one for what to do after the Draenei, i have my ideas but having your help to decide sounds more awesome.

Comission draw will remain unchanged.

From the bottom of my heart i ask the forgiveness of those that joined wanting only sci-fi miniatures, and i thank you for the support you have given me, if you still want to stay as my patreon that would make me very happy.

I do intend to work on sci-fi again but only if the number of Patrons grow so that i can increase the time sculpting or even hire someone to help, but that is far beyond reach.

Once again, i am truly sorry. Thank you all for your support.

Far be it from me to tell people how to soend their money, but Patreon isn't about paying a small fee for 3D models; it's about supporting artists in a small way, together, so that they can maybe make a living, or at least some residual income, from a passion that may not always have easy routes as a career. I'm excited to be on the journey with you Ivo, and I hope everyone else is too - here's to getting to 100 Patrons!

I am so excited for the WoW inspired fantasy models. Definitely going to have a use for those in my campaigns, as I am sure many others will as well!
