Danny was a twink, thin, hairless, trying to find some new headphones for his workouts. He had been in the gym doing cardio when his old ones fell out, only to be crushed by some dumb muscle brute walking by. Danny felt disgusted looking at them, just dumb livestock with bodies made of almost entirely muscle. They looked like animals covered in hair with beards, no brain, just stupid apes. Danny wondered how anyone could ever let themselves get that way and not take care of themselves.
Danny managed to find some cheap brand 'Bear Buds' the next time he went out, a cute teddy bear as their logo. Something drew him to them, he didn't know what though. He made sure to put them on in the car before walking into the gym, getting his playlist on.
As soon as he stepped onto the floor, something felt off. He looked around feeling lost. Despite having been to the gym at this same exact time, same exact day every week, for whatever reason he couldn't recall what his workout was. He held his head, trying to remember, but no matter how hard he thought he couldn't recall it. He glanced around the gym, deciding to figure it out, and noticed a group of guys around the free weights. He smiled. "That must be it" He thought, walking over to the racks.
It didn't take long for Danny to settle into his new routine, get to know the faces hanging around the heavy weights with him. It was easy to join them, their friendly demeanor showing him the ropes, spotting him anytime he needed. His hair was always damp with sweat and in his eyes, and at their suggestion he shaved it. Every day he saw his body growing bigger, his smile even larger looking at his progress.
Danny was taken by surprise when he was complimented on his beard. "Beard?" Danny thought, looking at the full size mirror on the wall. They were right. A thick beard now conquered his face, the same tone as the curls of hair that were creeping out from under the seams of his shirt. He smiled as he took notice, looking at its size, looking at how his body had a nice layer of fur too. He didn't know why he couldn't see it before, maybe he was just so used to it?
He didn't spend much longer considering it. He no longer took long to consider much anything anymore. It was easier to just do, lift weights, go with the flow. He laughed at the weaklings doing cardio. They could barely lift anything. They would be much happier lifting weights, letting their bodies develop. Danny smiled at that thought, heading into the locker room as he finished. He snapped a selfie, happy with his results, hoping to continue growing as the beast he was.
