George didn't think about what would happen when he started using the outdoor gym. It was something he always passed in his neighborhood going to work, each day seeing huge tanned men sweating it out in the fenced area. He finally joined them, working his way into the circles who worked out at that time, George learning their routine and techniques.
He never learned that they kept their bodies waxed to keep the hair at bay. Exposed to the elements, beaten by the sun, their bodies reacted to the environment, quickly covering itself in fur to protect it. George never considered this, spending his workouts shirtless, never paying attention to the thick curls that began to cover his chest and shoulders. He only ever saw his muscles grow, unaware of the animal he was slowly turning himself into.
In no time he looked like an ape, veined mass bulging from his body, a thick chest and abs on constant display. He couldn't care about the carpet covering it all, too proud of his progress. It only acted like a second shirt, trapping in the sweat of his hard work, his body a temple to his accomplishment.
