Pillow Head

Ian had trouble sleeping, surprised when he managed to solve it using hypnotherapy. He had tried everything, melatonin, noisemakers, sensory deprivation, but nothing worked. It wasn't until his roommate suggested hypnotherapy that he got results, listening to the same file every night to pass off to and letting it continue to play while he slept.

He didn't know how it worked, but was happy finally getting the full sleep he needed. The file was simple enough, leading him down to his subconscious until he was out for the rest of it. He could never listen to all of it, much less remember past the first ten minutes. He now fell asleep the instant the file started playing.

He wasn't aware of how he no longer wore clothes to bed, or how his sleeping position changed. The only thing he could recall was imagining himself as a pillow, just being part of the bed, a part to be used. Having his mind turn to fluff, compliant, an object.

Pillows had no memory. Pillows only did what their owners wanted, positioned a certain way, stuffed a certain way. Its body was nothing more than a container that soaked in fluids from the bed. It couldn't care less that each night the roommate came in to use it, the Pillow's head down in the sheets with its rear in the air. Each night it was filled, stuffed like a cushion should be, forgetting what transpired once it was no longer a pillow.
