Nature Trail

It wasn't until a break during his job he decided to go for it, getting closer to nature by spending almost every day on a trail. He didn't realize the effect it would have on him.
It took a while for him to mentally get used to being out all day, in the heat and exercise. He was too focused on that to notice the other changes. It wasn't just the extra weight he lost or the tone he was picking up, exposed to the elements his surface was adapting, returning to an animalistic state.
Hair grew excessively around him, exploding across his limbs and shoulders. What had previously been sparse patches on his chest were spreading out and flooding his skin, draping him in its shroud. No inch of his surface was safe. His clothes became increasingly more unbearable as the carpet grew, giving him at least an inch of insulation before he could no longer stand his shirts.
His entire body was coated in a thick layer of fur, barely any skin visible under the curls. He was outlined by it, the stands catching the light in the sun. Now he went around half-naked with just his backpack and shorts, just another animal in the wild.
