Growing Apetite

His coach had been wanting him to bulk up, grow bigger and fill out like a lineman, but Jake never wanted to be too big or fat, hoping to keep his ripped body. The coach had even sponsored him with a full athletic meal plan, unlimited food from the cafeteria that Jake couldn't say no to. As far as Jake knew, it was high protein fuel, stuff that would allow him to keep his stature.
He had underestimated just how fattening the highly processed meals were. Jake thought he was safe, eating almost whatever he wanted, thinking his workouts and team practice was enough to keep him skinny. It wasn't until after a few weeks of his diet did he feel heavier on the field, slower, his undershirt growing tighter around his body like he was carrying something beneath it.
Only when he lifted up his loose jersey did he realize he had a gut hanging out in front of him, under his padding. It was a soft pillow, big enough it hung over the front of his shorts. He was suddenly self-conscious about it, feeling it move up and down on his body each time he sprinted, feeling its weight on his body whenever he was on the field or in his lap on the bench.
He needed to fix it. He hoped he could eat less, but it was already too late. He'd been on the unlimited meal plan so long that he'd lost control of his appetite, unable to stop stuffing himself and continuing to pack on pounds. He could only watch as his gut grew bigger and bigger on him, sinking out further and lower on his body until it hung below his uniform. In the end coach got exactly what he'd wanted, a bigger lineman.
