My friend was a novice swimmer. He had the body for it, thin and lanky, but he said he could never get the placement he wanted. He had asked for help, hoping I would be able to give him some insight somehow. After some research I thought I found some things that could help him. I told him to shave his head if he didn't have a swimcap, help make him more hydrodynamic. There was another weird tip though, suggesting to put on weight. Supposedly it would help him with buoyancy and allow him to stay afloat a bit better.
He took the advice to heart, instantly sporting a smooth head and increasing his calorie intake. It felt weird watching him start eating like a pig. I got to see his face soften, jaw disappearing as weight started packing onto his body. If it was muscle it was hidden under soft padding, his mass noticeably increasing.
I got to see the full difference at his next swim meet as he walked around in his tight trunks. His torso spilled out of the swim briefs, his stomach easily hanging an inch over his waist. His entire body had filled in, his arms and legs gaining some muscle while his stomach and chest had grown round and soft. His pecs were looser, jiggling together with his fat gut whenever he moved. His entire body shook as he walked, the tight fabric of his briefs barely containing his curves. Despite the changes, he had a newfound confidence, knowing he had built the body he wanted to win.
