Beer Beach

He carried his chair and towel along with a full case of beer out with him, setting it up on the sand before plunging into the water. He got out, the cool water refreshing him while he headed back to his seat, crashing in it to rest.
He didn't realize the ocean could be so entracing, the waves taking his eyes as he popped open a beer and started drinking. The liquor didn't help his focus as he found himself falling into a trance, his head lulled by the sound of the waves.
He had no idea how much time had passed until he reached the end of his drink, realizing there weren't any more bottles in the case. He looked around him to find all the beers discarded and empty. He had trouble sitting up, feeling like he had more weight attached to his front, finding his stomach bloated from all the beer. He couldn't help but burp, giving his hard midsection a pat before standing and heading back in for the night.
He was out the next day with a new case, guzzling beer while his mind emptied, and the day after that. And the next day after that. He spent the entire week on the beach with a huge case of beer on the beach, adopting the same slack-jawed expression as he started out into the waves that rolled over in his head.
He couldn't care less as his body changed, growing wider and wider with each beverage he drank. His stomach was slowly turning into a sack of beer, distending out into his lap where it sat prominently. His body had fattened up, swelling with the excess carbs that further swelled his torso and limbs until his body was as padded as a cushion.
He no longer recognized himself, not that it mattered to him. All he saw in the mirror was a chubby man of indulgence and relaxation. His mind had been melted by the ocean, not caring that his body had become a fat tank for booze.
