Almost Santa

He was quite happy with the result, a thick bush framing his face nicely. It wasn't until white and grey hairs started growing that he started getting comments on it.
Everywhere he went people started referring to him as Santa. He was pissed. He didn't look anything like Santa, keeping his body lean and fit, nothing like the fat fucker from Christmas stories. He quickly grew worried when he realized he had started putting on weight. His body was growing thicker, his clothes getting tighter while his pants struggled to fit around his waist.
It wasn't long before he managed to figure out the problem, the portions he was getting were larger. Everywhere he went people sized him up, giving him larger orders and extra items than he had asked for. He thought he could just eat less and the problem would go away, but his stomach wouldn't let him. It had grown used to eating the extra food that he couldn't stop himself from finishing his plates, his stomach growling demanding more even when he was done. It wasn't long before he had started ordering desserts, fighting a losing battle against his own appetite.
His body continued to grow, fat slowly consuming his frame until all he could fit were his grey sweats. He was embarrassed, unable to zip them up over his fat chest and stomach, his belly bulging out of the opening. He hated how he had become what he'd wanted to avoid, unable to be seen as anything other than the fat jolly man that ate everything. He thought he'd never be able to leave his house, scared of what people would say, he couldn't help but love the way he felt. His body had become soft and pillowy, his spare tire giving him extra cushioning. He was undeniably fat and jolly, and he couldn't have been happier.
