2025-05-31 01:44:58 +0000 UTCMNet never beating the unqualified judges allegations lmao. they went one step forward with Stage Fighter, then two steps back again with this season. crazy how it's called a 'battle' round when none of the judges have actual battle experience 🥴 thus, the reliance on the showmanship aspect and prioritizing "performance" above all. then again... it's a TV show, and a technique-based analysis might not resonate or be "too deep" for the general audience. but hoooo boy, casting professional battlers and subjecting them to such wishy washy standards is kinda embarassing ngl. then again... the majority of the cast this season aren't battlers. and this isn't even a street battle show (despite the name). so i do also applaud the choreographers for going out of their comfort zones and adapting. the battlers are gonna have to adapt as well--even for freestyle rounds--because sadly, it looks like showmanship will always trump technique and musicality on this show. oh well, at least my queen Marlee won 😍 MOTIV already caught my eye when the kpop mission videos were released. and now watching them on the actual episodes, oooooo i'm all in
