Even though i prefer dream’s b-sides and overall albums, but i think it’s the dream members vocals and how their voices blend well as a team is what makes me like the song and not the production. I think real big investing in their production started with dream()scape album, before that in the albums there were really good produced b-sides and a filler b-side, but the thing is i still liked it, because vocal melodies are PRETTY😆i think you noticed it too, i really dislike diggity, but vocal part and especially bridge is so good, i really love it, but i hate everything else in this song. But despite liking i can hear lack of investment in sound. But with 127 i can always hear the money sm put in the production, i just don’t like the song. I think main reason for me to like dream’s b-side more is that they barely have chanting choruses, most of the time it’s either unison or harmony singing, in other hand in 127 it’s mostly chanting or just one member leading the chorus (and the harmonies in the back, probably was done just by that member) most background vocals and vocal layerings are done by doyoung(in the past that criminal guy too). The last time i liked the whole of their full album was Kick it album(neo zone) + its repackage, i liked everything in this album, then it was just 1or2 songs that i liked in their albums, i absolutely hated fact check album, but the production in this album is crazy, sound quality is crazy, but not my type, walk album was good, but for me songs were hit or miss. now to the motives of the albums, i think most of dream’s early full albums had that bright, healing and encouraging motives, but hot sauce + hello future and dreamscape are the only albums where they went with “one motive” album concept, which means every song in the album has the same direction, these two albums had same that dream’s healing type of direction, oh and i think we can add candy mini special winter album to this route too. In other hand dream()scape (smoothie) mini album had darker, more depressing (?) type of direction, having an anxiety and overcoming that, being trapped in your own thoughts, these are the overall descriptions and directions of the songs in this album. But all the other albums (except their early bubble gum era) had different types of songs.

2025-04-22 07:24:32 +0000 UTCActually, 127 albums beat Dream albums for me personally, but that could just be the songs. and vocally, they go CRAZY in their b-sides, you gotta remember, yes they have the rappers, but they have freaking Doyoung, Haechan, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Yuta, and (ugh) Taeil. those are ALL vocals, and yes Jaehyun amd Yuta do sometimes rap, they have the vocals, hell Taeyong, Johnny, and Mark and also sing well in their b-sides. You gotta listen the Sticker, or Neo-zone album. Hands down my favorite NCT albums, probably followed by Glitch Mode, and Awaken the World.
