so minjae not making it stings a bit more now as after this jungmin dropped out due to health conditions so we went down to only 1 main vocal from a potential 3 but minjae now goes by minsu and is in the pre-debut group of UNNAME which also has woo hajoon from project 7 in it. They were going to debut in april but it got postponed due to a member leaving. Kassho and Haruta are still in SM and performed at SMTOWN 2025 under SM Rookies and will most likely be a part of SM's new japanese boy group they have been talking about for a whilw

2025-03-25 01:26:06 +0000 UTCI understand everything you're saying, but one thing we're forgetting is Minjae is the best vocalist in the technical aspect out of the contestants and probably in the top 5% in the industry right now(as a trainee). You can always improve your dancing and stamina. You cant improve your singing to get on a level like main vocalists if you're not born with it. The only reason minjae didnt make it is because WISH's concept was already predetermined, and Minjaes visual does not fit it in the slightest

You stated that you didn't want Daeyoung to debut because they might misuse his vocals, but I can 100% reassure you that the vocals in NCT Wish's songs are no joke. They're more difficult than even ZB1's songs. Also Riku and Sakuya improved so much in rapping, they left my jaw dropped with their verses so I was a little upset when you said Sakuya and Ryo debuted because of their image. I watched all of NCT Wish's recordings and surprisingly Ryo's pitch accuracy is the best in the group, even better than Jaehee. Like this kid might have perfect pitch lol. The director will sing a note and he'll just immediately sing it with perfect pitch. Jaehee improved even more than before if that was even possible lol. SM has been letting Sion rap as well and this man is a true allrounder. Sakuya and Riku's flows are amazing. You've only listened to 2 of their songs so it's a little unfair to say that they couldn't be on a song with Taeyong and Mark. As of now, they absolutely can. Yushi has improved in sp as well. This group is definitely one of the best vocal groups in 5th gen, as well as 2 strong rappers, and their dancing is insane as well, especially Sion. Man gives 200% in the dance practices lol. It might not show in title tracks as much but if you listen to their bsides, the vocal layering, harmonies, and amount of high notes on their songs is insane so I beg you to check out their albums, you won't regret it. Also Sion and Sakuya are my biases. Another P.S is that Jungmin left the group pre-debut because of health concerns which was a very sad day for me and a lot of Jungmin fans. But he has an Instagram where he posts covers and produces songs as well so I'm glad he's still not giving up on music.

2025-03-25 01:03:30 +0000 UTCI think with Minjae vs Daeyoung it really is their training times and improvement rates. It is retrospective, but Daeyoung, in a year with no prior training before SM has improved tremendously as a dancer in comparison to Minjae who had been training with SM for longer and is still having trouble. Note that Daeyoung also had no vocal training before becoming a training. The staff had been saying about Daeyoung that he was a quick learner, and that type of is important. Wish's choreo is tiring and I can't imagine Minjae doing it and not sticking out in a bad way. As an athlete, I see it in a similar sense to why a coach would pick someone who might be a bit worse but is more coachable in comparison to some one a bit more skilled but is not as coachable. It's a great skill that Daeyoung has in spades. We've learned that Daeyoung is multi-talented in quite a few things which is cool.
