The Year in Post.

I'm reading comments.

Happy last day of the year.

Greetings from Aotearoa New Zealand, where it's December 31st already.

I'm still deep in family, rest, and book research/writing time, but I'll come up for air within the week, right before tour starts.

We have a few things to get out to you (I'm especially excited to share the Amie McNee talk at The Brattle Theater with you all)....everybody's off work for the holidays.

And now?

As we head into 2026....

I wanted to do something a little different to wrap the patreon this year.

Often, at the end of the year, the team and I do a big ol' wrap of all the releases and big, significant posts and releases.

But since we moved over to a monthly-salary mode this year, and moved away from the commodity-driven, "thing-based" system, I thought it might be fun to scour the year's posts and identify them by feel.

So here are, more or less, my favorite posts of the year (some of which you may have missed), in order.

These aren't the posts that COST the most, or that got the most comments, or that got share the most.

The Dresden Dolls did huge shows, Niki McQueen made a ton of art, I dropped all sorts of work, BUT....this isn't refelctive of EVERYTHING....

These are just the posts for which I.....felt an affection.

I love working this way, in immediate-gratification-self-publishing crowdfund world, and I know that it's your support, your patraonge, and your eye- and ear-balls that makes it all possible.

So, before I run it down, I wanted to thank you, once again, neverendingly, from the bottom of my heart, for your patronage.

I also love my team. My managers, my agents, my touring crew, my merch queens, everyone who works for Team AFP and Team Dresden Dolls all over this wide globe.

I don't talk about them here in depth, but so many hands go into the shows, the merch, the posts, the business.

There are not enough words to thank them this year.

So to my crew, my team all over the globe, and you know who you are...

Thank you.

For helping me, for helping my kid, for helping my whole community.

And to, you, the patrons?

You all keep me feeling vital as a writer and an artist, and your support this year has kept my soul floating above the storm.

It's a story for the ages, and I only hope to become a good enough writer to tell the story with the love and candor it deserves.

I love you all so much.
