Rewarding Episode Discussion
Added 2022-05-01 01:00:11 +0000 UTCI've said it before and I will say it again. I love a comic that can have a twist that the reader doesn't expect. To make this episode we did some research on bonsai's. I had no idea they came in so many different types!
You all mentioned you like it when I point out mistakes. Notice on panel two, there is a line/layer error. See if you can find it. ;-)
The tree's have names. Samson, Wishkaw, and Chuckanut. Samson was choosen for randomness since it was the only 'normal' name among the bonsai. Wishkaw is a word in the Salish dialect and the name of a river and community in Washington. When looking at the map we tried to find more fun names and found Chuckanut, which is the name of a historic road and region in Washington. It is also a native American word. Since this series takes place in a Pacific Northwest equivalent, we like to have references when we can.

I love the references you guys give plus it’s the little details like that that really give character to everything in the comic universe and last thing… if ponies don’t do silly things are give moments of awe is it really a pony comic? Haha
