Moving Day Episode Discussion
Added 2021-09-03 01:04:19 +0000 UTCOh boy... here we go. Viewers caught on really fast that Rarity had this planned, and not in a malicious way. Throughout the series, you see Rarity and Twilight talking about relationships, so Rarity is quite privy to what is going on with Twilight. Here we see her trying to help Twilight get some closure... but maybe it could have been done better?
Nonetheless, this is what happened and it leads into a four episode story arc of feels. So get ready if you are easily emotional. Maybe get a tissue box. The next few episodes are going to be a dive into past relationships with Twilight and Greg.
Now for some closure episode details. This takes place at Rarity's house/townhome (which has been shown once before in this series). Rarity's car is shown for the second time in series history, and Greg's wagon has been shown quite a lot. We had fun drawing some different angles and character positions than the norm. Rarity's license plate is a reference to her love of ponies in uniform. She would be happy to get frisked!
Some of my favorite things is when we can squeeze a ton of jokes within a comic. Jokes that come out quick and fast, and it is up to the reader to catch them, or go back and count them all. Clearly, this would be easier to portray if this was say... animated (oh that would be so awesome and fun!) but hopefully it translates onto digital paper.
Note in panel one, Twilight's tail is improperly clipped into the panel number. Oops. Why did no one fix that yet?
