Ripped Shorts Episode Discussion
Added 2021-08-10 21:11:51 +0000 UTCBy far, one of my least favorite episodes in awhile. It had no real good joke or depth to it. It was the lowest form of entertainment I could think of. Now if you liked it.... I'm sorry for what I just said, lol. I want people to like this... but I just felt so empty after making it. I guess what I am trying to say is I couldn't make in funny in my mind and it just seemed like blatant fan-service. It seems like this message has been said before, possibly pulverized into the ground. But alas, maybe it is a good message still?
The title "Ripped Shorts" was a nod to that historic Spongebob episode called, "Ripped Pants" in which Spongebob continually rips his shorts. I wish I could have had a musical number. ;-)
Why am I so torn? I guess it's okay to have episodes that aren't what I like every once in awhile. But the next one, oh the next one, I liked the next one. I played with some different artsy stuff. As I am typing this, I am working on a Rainbow Dash story which in theory should start this Thursday. If I don't get enough of it done, it may be pushed to next Tuesday. But it is happening.
Also... that viewpoint sign is literally looking at nothing. You are looking at trees! I knew I had a reason to dislike this episode!

2021-08-14 07:05:11 +0000 UTCI don't feel like it's fan service when it's the characters are interacting like this. It fits what it feels like they would do in your world, and I'm sure it will turn into an embarrassing story they'll both remember.

2021-08-11 21:26:40 +0000 UTCI think it was cute and not base at all. It is a lighthearted joke with some character relationship building. Of course, the most important thing is that you feel comfortable. Think about what worked and what didn't in your opinion.

2021-08-11 16:02:53 +0000 UTCDoes seem a bit silly at face value...p'raps you could (and this is just a friendly suggestion) have a special page or two just for your patrons that expands upon the set premise like a special steamy one-shot of Lily in her shorts or something. Nothing blatantly NSFW (unless you wanna) but just take it a step beyond the premise that as you said feels kinda empty as it currently stands. And once again, no pressure or anything, you do what makes you happy.
