This is the last in this development heavy arc for now. It built up and placed a lot of pieces that will be relevant for the future. We also learned Sunburst is quick to jump to conclusions...

It's hard, if not impossible to convey the emotions of seeing someone you love (or think you love) be with someone else. It can be devastating emotionally and physically. Some just turn themselves off and become numb, which is what Sunburst seems to have done here.

This episode further developed Starlight and Gray's relationship beyond being just an episode focused on them. We got to see some character overlap which I love.

I love it when stories, shows, etc can make a story overlap. Present a story from one angle, then show it again from yet another angle. Haha, believe it or not Grand Theft Auto IV did that from the main game and then with their DLC expansions. Not sure why I used that as an example, but it was done well. :) I was going to do this idea originally with the "Adorkable History" spinoff that never came to fruition.
