Strange Message From Someone
Added 2020-09-20 21:50:25 +0000 UTCI'm pretty used to getting messages on our Tumblr with constant requests (Especially from the same people), asking questions, and even some discussions with people. But today I got something very different... rather strange.
Back in 2016 when the series started to grow we had a simple set of rules.
1. Keep things wholesome. Family friendly, but don't be afraid to do adult topics and subjects with care.
2. Don't talk down to our audience.
3. No politics.
Seems pretty simple. We follow though we have done some adult-ish things.
But today in our mailbox I got a long letter full of expletives and vulgar language. I wasn't sure if it was a joke of serious at first, but I think they were being serious. They were accusing our comics of being.... political? AT&F.... political? Where? Lol! Awww geez.
I know one time in 2016 we had one episode that said a tongue-cheek thing that could be seen as a political statement, but it really wasn't. It was just for a quick laugh. I know Tumblr/Twitter are very sensitive areas and I am not really sure how AT&F can be seen as political, but if you catch something political in our comics, please let us know! We don't want to do that, lol. It's not like AT&F is a secret message to our underground overlords (who live underground) and control society like puppets! RIIIIIIGGGHT? ;-)
In short, AT&F is NOT political. I know you know that though. I just found it extremely strange to get.
I hope you are enjoying your Sunday.

It might be best I don't say, but I think your hypothesis of what could be seen as political explains what they think we are pushing. Apparently good natured characters is 'political.' They want to have negative characters maybe that make you feel upset after reading about them? Not sure.
2020-09-20 23:05:28 +0000 UTCI can't help but be curious which politics they accused you of pushing. Although with the way the fringes of American politics are turning simple questions where there should be a no-brainer answer into political battlegrounds, perhaps depicting characters behaving in generally decent, sensible ways does qualify as a political statement now.
