I don't think ANYONE expected this to happen... just like they won't expect the next episode. ;-) Hopefully this episode did an alright job of giving some more character depth to Starlight. We really want people to have many layers. But we also added a bit of depth to the background character Johnny. He is always mean to others, but this episode puts the reader in a position they don't expect to be in with him. We are left with many questions about Johnny's family life or backstory, but it shows us he isn't just mean to be mean. He realizes what he does isn't right too, but we just don't know why yet. Maybe over time we can learn more about him... and maybe Starlight has her own little pint-sized padawan.
