I started this account in December of 2016 as a means of taking the reins over my own creative identity during a deep transition period in my life.
I still toured full time for two years, until it was time to care for my grandfather, and even then I toured part time.
During that transitional phase, not only have I been able to share tidbits of my life on the road and abroad as a traveling muse, but most importantly, my own original work.
As writing has always been my deepest passion, having the opportunity to engage with you all through my literary illustrations has been the most fulfilling part of my Patreon journey. I am truly honored that you all connect with my imagery and my intellect on a deeper level than pure physicality.
In these last three years I have had to part with many chapters of my life I deeply identified with;
I left an unhealthy relationship and moved back on the road full time. My mother and siblings moved 8 hours away. I cared for both of my grandparents, who have since both passed away.
Throughout these years, I began to say “no” to all photo work that was not absolutely aligned with my artistic or moral integrity. More recently, I concluded my beloved photo retreat, The Desert Adventure, which also marked my retirement from full time modeling.
This platform has kept me afloat through those transitions, and has allowed me to express myself freely. Moreover, so many opportunities presented themselves to me in the wake of my losses.
In addition to my own photography and poetry, I have collaborated with so many wonderful photographers who helped bring my projects to fruition. I have even been able to explore expressing my poetry through music.
I self published three photo/poetry books.
Saying “no” to work I didn’t want presented opportunities I was unable to refuse, such as working with legendary Sheila Metzner.
After leaving a toxic relationship, I was able to fully engage in a relationship with someone who has been a true partner, in every sense of the word.
I have made a handful of priceless friendships.
I spent many beautiful moments with my grandfather I will cherish forever, and was able to hold his hand as he died.
I have had my home base in a lovely cottage in my hometown on the Jersey Shore.
I have taken the last two months off to study for my GRE in preparation for graduate school admission.
In 2017, my local newspaper featured an article about my life as a traveling fine art nude model. They even put a nude silhouette on the cover.
I am now employed full time as a journalist for that very newspaper.
Needless to say, each of you have contributed to these victories.
My gratitude is unspeakable.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
I hope you will stay along for the adventure. XO.
