Tempest Takes Moab *full b&w

I have acquired the title of 'Tempest,' after having garnered the reputation for bringing anomalous, turbulent weather wherever I go. Anyone who knows me, or has worked with me, can attest to this.

Several years ago, I wrote a Patreon-exclusive poem entitled 'Tempest,' accompanied by a series of images shot by Photosensualis in the middle of a hurricane that was touching down on the western coast of Florida. I think I will resurrect that piece for you all.

Moab is no exception to this. Despite being a desert climate which is typically warm and dry by May, I have seen unreal amounts of rain, hail, and snow fall here.

Something that I learn again and again from my experience working with nature, and in the elements, is how to adapt in a graceful way. I learn how to be bold, but intentional with my energy. I learn how to adapt my physical body in a way that my individuality survives. And the amazing thing is that I will never stop learning. I will travel through many more storms, and over  various terrain, and each time will be knew to me. But each time, I will trust my intuition, my strength, and my grace, a little more. I hope that these lessons express themselves through my work. This series is just me exploring how to place myself into this rocky scene in a way that makes sense. I wanted my poses to fit into the scene in a comprehensive, but powerful way. Probably only one or two of these would make the cut for public posting, as far as I'm concerned. I hope you enjoy looking into the process.
