This series is from my first tour in Austin. Of course, as soon as I arrived, the whole city flooded, and most of my shoots were canceled. I shot with Venus Love Photography in his back yard, despite the weather. We played Stevie Ray Vaughan, naturally. He used 35mm 'film soup,' meaning he sprayed chemicals on his film to give it this psychedelic distortion. In the same week, we also shot a bunch of commercial stock photos which, as you can imagine, had a starkly different feel than this set.
