Happy May.
I just want to say thank you all for your continued support; And WELCOME to those of you who just joined. Tonight or tomorrow I will be posting the new passwords for the patron blogs, so stay tuned.
I have reached the final stretch of a long tour that began just about a month ago, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Since then, I traveled down to Los Angeles, then out to Joshua Tree, and wound up in Moab, Utah for The Desert Adventure. This was our best TDA yet. Thanks to those of you who came out and really made it a fulfilling experience.

Here is a first peek at a portrait shot by George Streng during The Desert Adventure. A special kudos goes to George for carrying 4 wardrobe changes (2 for each model) every single day on all the hikes. I truly admire his dedication to his craft.
This shot has not yet been edited, but I thought I would give my patrons the first peek. Also, George gets a lot of rare portraits of me smiling, and this is a great example. I don't typically smile very often in my work, but George is such a vibrant and positive person, it is really hard not to.
I just arrived to Minneapolis two days ago. I'll be working here for about a week, and then finally heading home to New Jersey.
While a month seems to vanish relatively quickly when I'm on the road, this month in particular has lasted a painfully long time. My grandfather has been in a nursing home on IV antibiotics. In my aunt's experience, he has been relatively stable. But being at such a dreadful distance gives me enough insight to know that he is trending towards the end of his life. He has his good days, but they are growing few and far between. I'm just hoping that he is still mostly himself when I get home, so that I can help to enrich whatever time he does have left. This is a difficult transition to accept, because my grandfather is the most important man in my life. Thanks to those of you who have kept him in your thoughts. It means a great deal to me.
Images and writing to feature on Tumblr soon.
XO.
