Yesterday, we learned that my grandfather's cancer is just in Stage 1. While this is the best case scenario for such a serious diagnosis, there is still a difficult road ahead with challenging terrain and very few options. He is not healthy enough to endure surgery or any invasive treatment on the body. We are going to exhaust all of our resources and consider all of the options before making a decision. My primary intention is to give him love, ease, and comfort for whatever time he has left.
