Eventually, this image will be part of a series of images and writing in which I draw a narrative upon an etymological connection between Sekaa's name and ancient myth. The symbolism attached to her name bears an uncanny semblance to the nature of our landscape work.
Sekaa, inspired by the Afrikaans language, literally created her name letter by letter. As such, she was unaware of the historical context she seemed to innately tap into.
I will set a practical deadline for this little series as soon as I've got some other commitments in the rear view.
I will continue sharing little previews here with you until the project is realized.
