Back in the web.
Added 2017-05-14 07:44:31 +0000 UTCJust got in from PSPF with Sekaa. It was a wonderfully gratifying experience. Spending the next few days working on content for Patreon & catching up on email. If you're interested in booking me, let's do it while I'm on the web, before I escape. These screens consume souls.

By tomorrow evening, I should be up to pace on my Patreon blogs. Speaking of which; I think I have figured out the direction I will take regarding my blogs:
As you have probably noticed, it's very challenging for me to post finished content in real time while I am on tour and working every day. So I will post bits and pieces once every 2-4 days. On my off days, which will probably be once every 7-10 days, I will back those posts up onto my patron exclusive Tumblr accounts.
I have recently gotten a few new patrons at the $1 level. I cannot offer you guys much, but I'd like to say thanks. Therefore, I will start converting a select few of my $5+ posts already on Patreon.com to $1+ posts. I will back my posts from this site up to Tumblr, to be accessed by the higher tiers, and typically will add content to them that my $5+ patrons have not yet seen on this site.
For those pledging $5+ who are interested in seeing/reading more, (and who exercise the initiative to visit my Tumblr blog,) you will have the reward of seeing those posts expanded upon with additional content not yet seen here on Patreon.
AND those same posts will be expanded upon even further for my higher tiers in their own separate blog.
I realize that the Tumblr blogs cannot be viewed from a iPhone or iPad. I also realize that the Tumblr blogs do not facilitate communication between us. HOWEVER, the Tumblr blogs DO allow me to present my work in a way that is more polished and appealing. And so, until something better presents itself, I will continue to utilize both sites, to maintain communication and keep you informed, as well as to give you the best presentation.
You can do it.
When you used to read your favorite paper or magazine, you had to go all the way to the market to buy it, or order it to be delivered. Back in those days, if you didn't want to walk all the way to your driveway, you had to spend months training your dog to go fetch it for you. (Just being a smart ass, because sometimes I take myself too seriously).
When a film debuts that you have been waiting to see, you go to the cinema, or you watch it on your television with the lights off. You wouldn't watch it on your cellphone.
You might follow a favorite artist on Instagram. But when you want to have the full experience of your favorite painter's work, you visit their exhibition, or order a print.
I once had an art teacher who asked, "you wouldn't marry your neighbor just because it's convenient, would you?"
This is crucial. Art should not take short cuts.
Thus, you can leisurely breeze through the little puzzle pieces I leave for you on the Patreon blog from your phone or tablet. Then, once every week or two, I'll invite you to sit down at your computer to check out the completed pieces on my Tumblr accounts.
Furthermore, when you have viewed the work, you can come back to the reference pieces on Patreon and leave feedback; questions, comments, requests, etc.
The best part is, even if you still forego that extra step, you will have some content to look at here, knowing that the finished work will always be available and waiting to be seen just a few keystrokes away, whenever you're ready.
I know that all of these transitions are confusing, and having to adjust to visiting other websites can be cumbersome, at times. It has been a huge challenge for me, as well, to establish an experience that is both fulfilling and accommodating for you.
Please know that I appreciate your patience and support through this process.
